Exploring the fiercely gentle wilderness that is motherhood.

As a mother of three incredible daughters, my work is inevitably influenced by how it feels to hold that space. The complexities and the wonder of it all is almost impossible to express with words so I strive to capture it with colour, texture and movement.

The ever-changing emotional landscape is reflected in my fluctuating compositions. The boundaries I uphold and the security I give is set in the stonework ‘walls’. Fascinations with beauty and pretty things are present in the materials I use. The pure joy is in the colour choices I make. And the fierce yet gentle wilderness that is motherhood is represented in the collision of smooth, tactile surfaces, with jagged, untouchable terrains.
